Moratoria
  • A moratorium is a time-limited suspension of admission to an academic program such as a degree program or a specialization. Moratoria may be requested for one semester or longer.

  • A moratorium is requested in anticipation of: insufficient staff, program review likely to result in significant program change, low demand, and other reasons.

  • A moratorium should always be placed on an academic program under consideration for disbandment. Moratoria may be removed so a program can resume its regular offering.

  • The following list of moratoria represent those approved by the Office of the Provost. Programs without end dates for moratoria are under review to determine end dates.
